Creating Good Karma was based on the idea of creating a happier, more positive world.
Based in Coquitlam, BC, Canada, Creating Good Karma offers inspiration and sparks positive change with each unique design on a number of items which include good karma apparel, inspirational coasters, karma greeting cards, and more.
What also makes Creating Good Karma a one-of-a-kind, is that a portion of all profits are automatically donated to a featured monthly charity.
So not only are we creating our own karma, you are creating yours too. Now that's karma!

The Story
"The inspiration for the company was a combination of many things. When my father passed away I really started to question the direction of my life and my career. Life, all of a sudden, just seemed all too short to waste on being unhappy, unfulfilled, or stuck in a rut, so I set out to create meaning and find an answer to the ever-popular 'what's the point to all of this' question."
"As a graphic designer I didn't want to just make things that look pretty...I wanted to be able to create positive change in my own life as well as other people's. So I combined all of the things I wanted out of life and what I wanted to contribute to the world through my graphic design profession, and Creating Good Karma was born."

The Facts
When did Creating Good Karma open shop?
The company was opened online October 2007.
Is there a retail store I could visit to buy Creating Good Karma products?
The Creating Good Karma boutique is online only.
Is Creating Good Karma a non-profit company?
The company is currently run on a volunteer basis and does not have investors or shareholders.
The owner, being the only employee, currently volunteers her time designing and running the company (implementing website updates, making business contacts, and answering customer inquiries).
With every sale a portion of profits earned are donated to charity and the remaining funds are put toward website fees/upgrades.
How do you choose a charity?
The decision is based on a number of things like whether or not the charity is registered or a non-profit organization, what kind of impact they have on their community & the people they help, and of course, whether or not there has been a request for them to be featured by one of our visitors.
How often do you update your website?
Updates are made to the site once a month which may or may not include design & product updates. To be notified of updates each month, visitors are encouraged to subscribe to the monthly newsletter.
Why are my products coming from the US if you are based in Canada?
In order to keep business costs low, products are currently printed & shipped by a company called CafePress, based in the US.
In the future Creating Good Karma looks forward to having our products printed & shipped from Canada, and possibly have their products available in retail stores.
